Welcome to the May 19th Workshop

I discussed this workshop with Steve H. in early December and it's been on my mind ever since. I enjoyed the one I did last year as part of the Title V series. Actually, this workshop has been on my mind since then. I had a good time and got a very good response from the participants-- I began to regret the fact that we only had the six hours together.

I especially enjoyed the workshop because is was a chance to share not only what I had been teaching but using, researching, and thinking about. Last year there was an emphasis on online learning and digital media. Right now I'm especially interested in ways that social software (wikis, blogs, podcasts, sites like flickr and del.icio.us) can change the teaching and learning paradigm-- this will definitely be a part of the workshop.

I started this blog in the hope to enhance and extend the conversation on the topics of the workshop. I'll post a draft of the agenda soon.

I'll use this blog to revise and discuss the workshop. Please comment on the workshop topics and other postings.
